Can we please stop playing into the narrative that wasps are useless when theyre just as big of pollinators as bees are and also that wasps are evil. Wasps will only sting if you bother them. Even when theyre flying around you its bc theyre curious about what you are.

I can't overstate how much I learned about how hardcore freshwater mussels are during this reporting:

- they can be as small as a quarter or as large as a Frisbee
- their butts are wrapped around their hearts
- their babies are parasitic
