The problem is my in-law family is like: “so have you seen lord of the rings? 😃” and I’m more like “so what is the worst thing that’s ever happened to you?”
Please go #votenokansas, it took like 5 minutes. Trust women to make their own choices with their health providers and allow lives to be functionally, financially and literally saved
I promise: don’t have a ‘regular’ wedding. Get married alone on a mountain or at the courthouse or in your backyard. If you have $ go on a trip or remodel your kitchen, both you will actually appreciate. Don’t say vows in front of your parents’ friends & rent napkins for $1.50ea
Forcing birth creates unwanted kids who will then grow up, sit in my office, stare at the floor and tell me stories about their irreplaceable formative years that you are, I promise, lucky not to know. The fact that people think this is Saving The Babies is just 🤯 #RoeVsWade
Love when patients are like “omg you don’t even have any kids yet?? LOL 😬” and then pay me by the minute to listen to them complain about their families
My favorite social media post is the “brunch with this guy 🥰” and then it’s a girl’s boyfriend sitting in a chain restaurant booth who didn’t really want his picture taken
If I wore my pajamas to your intake appt would you be comforted like “wow she’s so unassuming” or like “I need to look at that insurance referral list another time”
I got this house with my dog in mind - so excited to watch him frolic through the yard - and every day he poops on my rug because the lawn is too damp and yucky for his little feeties
I can’t explain the agony from my mom’s death. It’s excruciating, long-lasting, keeps me awake and has changed me at my core. Tell your mom you love her and anything else you can think of that could possibly make you sad one day knowing she never knew it
@Chelsea_Fagan Yes! I started as a psych NP during Covid. ~70% of my patients are coming for adult ADHD (which is very real!) but when we've worked/ate/slept/helped our 12yos learn math over Zoom in the same 1000 sq ft for 1+ year..I think most of us could benefit from a smidge of Adderall
Really struggling to find the balance between "refreshingly accessible mental health provider" and "family of patients texting me their own life stories hoping for a twofer while I'm trying to watch This Is Us"
