Where I live, the EMS come into a local restaurant and have said many times there are people who do not have rides into town, so they use EMS as a taxi. The people call and say something like their back hurts or have a bad headache- EMS takes them into town to hosp, and then the no driving peeps are in town for free- no taxi- all on tax payer money.
