when i decided to pursue a marketing career instead of journalism, i was surprised that i actually did miss being creative in my day to day. posting silly little tiktoks about the outdoors and “granola” culture has been the perfect outlet. happy to say i hit 10k this week :)

Ever wondered why newsrooms/mainstream media outlets are disproportionately white? Especially when it comes to leadership?
The unpaid internship.
They could afford to live in NYC for a summer w/o pay; they then had the necessary experience/contacts to stay & rise the ranks
The same Newhouse where my professor couldn’t tell students of color apart? The same Newhouse where our director cracked jokes about students using wheelchairs? The same Newhouse where my professor said Cuomo’s use of racial slurs wasn’t a big deal? Or is there another Newhouse?
Don’t let them tell you they don’t understand defunding. They’ve defunded the arts, summer jobs, neighborhoods, hospitals, public education, broadband access initiatives, headstarts, public health work like HIV prevention, small business subsidies, green intiatives... they know.
I’m getting scared that we’re forgetting Breonna Taylor- those cops haven’t even been arrested. Please remember black women. Please let’s keep fighting for her.
