Tricity salon and spa association met @manuparida1 Adviser to UT Adm, urging to close salon shops on Tuesday and Thursday as on weekends lockdown their business got affected. Also urge to include their category in essential item category.

[Rachit Malhotra @rachitfp]

@manuparida1 Thanks you for the valuable meeting and understanding our challenges.

[Rachit Malhotra @rachitfp]

Thank you @manuparida1 for listening to the problems our salon & spa industry facing post #lockdown .. if we are not allowed to function on Saturday , Sunday it would finish our 50 percent of sales.
Looking forward to a positive reply.

@manuparida1 Sir new announcement on lockdown is a downer. It cascades the death of small businesses. Best will be to have a complete shutdown and curfew in tricity for one month. That way at least we won't behounded by landlords, suppliers, etc

@amitsood9 @iepunjab @HinaRohtaki @vpsbadnore We can’t afford for more loss as weekends are the only days where we can see clients walk-in.

[Rachit Malhotra @rachitfp]

@iepunjab @HinaRohtaki Absolutely true. Our industry going down and weekends are the only business days. Rest of the days we are not seeing clients. We can afford for weekends off.

#COVID19 is part of #ecosystem now ,at least for coming few months and a challenge to whole #humanity , for this co existence with #virus , we need to come up with #solutions together.

[Rachit Malhotra @rachitfp]

@amitsood9 @manuparida1 @vpsbadnore Very sad for #salonindustry. The salons which have been working for so many years winning trust of clients are going to loose because #homeservices been allowed over working of #salons. Our industry will open last but government not ready to help us or showing any thumbs up 👍

[Rachit Malhotra @rachitfp]

The lockdown is creating a tremendous economic hardship for the #salonindustry Employees Salaries when there's no revenue and online portals and home services permitted to work.
We ask for equality & support !!

[Rachit Malhotra @rachitfp]
