They actually didn't better their time but lost 2 tenths.
Do you want to see such a comparison and understand where the time went and whether it was driver error or the car?
What a year of evolution looks like, especially in the 'S' curves!

Last year's Japanese GP saw a great battle between the McLaren guys during qualifying with a gap of just 0.035s with the rookie on top.

I am genuinely puzzled by Mercedes' claims and independent analyses because, yes, they're lacking in high-speed (and in slow & medium corners) but in the meantime, they're fastest on the straights by some margin. The only driver close to them on the straights is Piastri with tow.
π¨ | Mercedes were the second worst team in Jeddah's high speed sections - slower than Alpine and Williams on race day.
The Silver Arrows have a lot of work to do before Australia.

@scuderiabrandon Well, yeah, I agree but why didn't they just put some wing to the level of being just faster enough, not 1 second consistently faster.
@antcamirujo The number deg is showing the slope of that trend.
I do that occasionally in my BMC page mostly because there I am also showing the trends in the slow, medium and high speed corners in that way. In these case one cannot fit curve so you have to eyeball it.
