It's already market tested - you pay cash or you don't, and people just swipe plastic
In OP's case, just don't buy the $10 milkshake
This policy is not as bad as people are making it out to be, in contrast when the min wage is $26 and a dishwasher gets like $80 per hour on a public holiday
All this shit just costs more and more money to legislate, can't sell stuff from other countries without having to relabel everything its fucked
You have to be braindead to think we grow sugar in NZ
Does anyone actually care about this stuff anyway, really? People buy pams coz it's cheap. They import fruit grown in China which undercuts the production price and that's caused watties to stop buying peaches from growers.
The people who buy on price don't actually care if it was made here or not, just whatever is cheaper at the checkout. That's not a choice in a lot of ways because we're all poor as fuck in this deadass country
@scaas_info@eevblog Forums are all but dead and Reddit’s over-moderation is heading the same way. Many verts are using it due to its integration capabilities
@DaveTetro Kids need to get engaged with politics, everyone doesn’t give a shit when they’re young.
Voting on feels is the biggest problem though.
Pollies are supposed to make the tough decisions but fall short cause the ones that elect them don’t have to
@Davidwi03912050@DameKateePie Their point appears to be it’s in a rural town with very suppressed wages, the likelihood of them being rentable will be low
If it’s a farming town maybe migrant workers will rent them though
@dearjulio@Maelstrom1974 It’s sugar. It is not grown here cause it’s too cold to do it at scale
If you are dumb enough to need labeling to remind you of this you deserve everything you get
