We stand in support of our #Transgender colleagues, friends, and family. Today, we promote understanding and respect as we remember those taken away by violence. #TDoR2024
As a proud midwesterner and female physician I’m compelled to call BS on this post. In the past I’ve really enjoyed reading MvE’s posts because they reminded me of the parts of Midwest culture that I love. But this is the kind of sexist nonsense that gives the Midwest a bad wrap. To be clear, I refer to the idea that a young woman’s career choices are limited and/or predetermined by her gender. To any young women from the Midwest who may have read this post: disregard this kind of ignorance. Your career options include anything you want to be. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing string Midwest Women who’ve gone on to become doctors, lawyers, scientists, artists, professors, and engineers, just to name a few.

@ThomasGrist@UWiscRadiology@ES_Burnside Such a great talk! Loved the depiction of the imaging chain and agree on “shifting more of the green” to the left (non-interpretive) side! 🦡
