that's a complete misread btw. Pakistan knew a ceasefire was going to be signed between the U.S. and Iran (as it now has).. knowing that there will be no more escalations for two weeks, they assured the Saudis that in case of an escalation (which they know won't happen), they'll back them.
this is just because the Saudis are asking for their money back from pakistan because of their failure to fulfil defense obligations
