CHLOROPLAST 🌱

Oxygens a blast VOTE CHLOROPLAST! Without us you won’t last, so don’t clash with chloroplast! 💚💚 FUTURE CELLVILLE MAYOR

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

@mitochondriyuhn Don’t make me tell ya again younger sis 💚💚

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

Mitochondria calls themselves the powerhouse but they have always been second to chloroplast! Since the evolution of mitochondria preceded the evolution of chloroplast! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

@mitochondriyuhn And young sibling!! 😂😂 that’s funny because you mitochondria preceded after the existence and evolution of me! Respect your elder sister 💅. After all, you need the oxygen I produce for cellular respiration!! #CellvilleAllen2021 #

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

@mitochondriyuhn Yeah yeah mitochondria this is getting old. As I’ve already established I may not be present in animal cells but I still have an effect. I produce much needed oxygen animal cells rely on! In fact life would cease to exist without me! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

@mitochondriyuhn No do we really need a mayor like you! Other organelles produce ATP too you know! Did you know that we both have multiple membrane that separate our interiors into compartments?? #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

@mitochondriyuhn Oh your one to talk @mitochondriyuhn ! Because of your high energy function, when your damaged you can release toxic chemicals called reactive oxygen species into the rest of the cell!! How lethal!! 😬😬😵

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

A world with out us chloroplast 😔🥀 Go green and vote chloroplast for mayor!! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

Did you know! The 'chloro' part of the word chloroplast is derived from the Greek 'chloros' which means green! 🟢

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

As an important metabolic hub of the plant cell, my health has been found critical for a variety of abiotic & biotic stresses, including drought, high light, cold, heat, oxidative stresses, phosphate deprivation, & programmed cell death at sites of infection #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

@ccentralvacuole you good 💚💚

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

I provide diverse metabolic activities for plant cells, including the synthesis of fatty acids, membrane lipids, isoprenoids, tetrapyrroles, starch, and hormones!! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

There are actually different colors of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll A is the most common type which is green💚 Chlorophyll C is a golden or brownish color!!! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

The coin like structures within the walls of the chloroplast specialize in trapping energy from the sun theses are thylakoids ☀️. The stacks of thylakoids are called grana and they are connected with an extensive system of tubules. #sophisticated #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

FACT TIME!!! The stroma is the liquid inside the chloroplast where other structures such as the thylakoids float‼️‼️ #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

In case you didn’t know I can come in all sorts of shapes however mostly ovals! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

Did you know I sometimes move around within the cell in order to position myself to where I can best absorb sunlight‼️ #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

Did you know that I’m found in algae however algae only has one or two chloroplasts since it has simple cells! #CellvilleAllen2021

[CHLOROPLAST 🌱 @radchloroplast]

I’m so cool that I possess my own DNA (cpDNA) we don’t rely on the nucleus! You should vote for a mayor that can do things by itself and not rely on others!! #CellvilleAllen2021
