God have mercy. @BBC news has renamed the Israeli-US war against Iran for something strange. They are branding this chaos as the Iran War. It seems like the truth has become the casualty. Is it not Israel that has been striking every neighbouring country in the past two years?

Next week we convene in Nairobi for #AfricaEditorsCongress26!
On Monday, 23rd Feb 2026. Churchill Otieno, President – African Editors Forum (TAEF), will speak on Media Freedom in Africa. Our theme this year is Reclaiming Value—Rebuilding Trust and redefining Sustainability.
Ms. Louise Haxthausen, Director, UNESCO Regional Office: Media self-censorship in Africa has risen 35% between 2012 and 2024. Government pressure, restrictive laws, and fear among journalists are limiting access to independent and accurate information.
#AfricaEditorsCongress26
Barbra Okafor, Agency Lab: Gen Z and Gen Alpha journalists are covering protests, explaining complex policies, and exposing corruption in 60-second vertical videos. Holding on to traditional journalism leaves Africa’s most vital storytellers exposed.
#africaeditorscongress26
The conversations continue at the Africa Editors Congress 2026, bringing together editors, journalists, and media leaders from across the continent to shape the future of African journalism.
