I’m excited to have a table at tomorrow’s festival put on by TCFS, one of our partner schools! Stop by the Rader Ward Foundation tent to say hello and make a free beaded fidget with me.
It’s MAR10 Day! Happy to share our (finally) completed set of @frankfordcandy Wonderball coins. Rader has been on my heart even more than usual today. 💛❤️💙
His room is full of things made by people who loved him: quilt by Grandma, white bedside cabinet by my dad, weaving from my sister, and the Mario pixel collage by Rader’s brother. 💙💛❤️
Happy Mario Monday! Thrilled to add this watercolor by @JasonGwinnArt to Rader’s room. My mom did the pencil sketch on watercolor paper before dementia took away her ability to paint. Jason was the exact right person to complete such a special piece for us.
We are excited to announce we now partner with five schools: Faith Montessori/Thrive Academy, Fern Montessori, Five Oaks, Mauldin Montessori, and our newest, Trailhead Community Farm School. Scholarship applications are open now through May 15. https://t.co/mblhUP8JR0
It's important to check in with our family, friends and peers, but "How are you?" will rarely get a genuine response. Here are a few things you can say instead 👍 Try it out this week and let us know how the conversations went!
In the fall I boost my mental health by baking for friends and colleagues! These mini loaf pans are gifts from folks who support my baking habit. I made this year’s first batch of pumpkin cranberry bread this week. Soon enough I’ll fill and give these new ones away.
Such a heartfelt piece, with practical tips for anyone struggling after losing a loved one to suicide. Thank you, @AnneMossRogers! I’ve already passed the link along to a couple of friends.

This one took weeks to write. I had to think back and break down my healing process. So if you've lost a child to suicide or know someone who has, please share.
@Claussmash You definitely matter to me! I know you were important to Rader. I appreciate that you were kind and brave enough to reach out when you learned about our loss. Many folks are afraid of saying the wrong thing so just stay silent. But you took a risk and I’m so glad.
#MarioMonday movie review: We saw the Mario movie, and yikes, this Luma
What should have been a fun matinee was spoiled by the disturbing musings of a cute character with a death wish. Click to read my full blog post and review.
