In April, I exclusively reported on a whistleblower complaint alleging intelligence about China's sweeping 2020 election influence operations was suppressed, and there was broad retaliation against the whistleblower.

China’s goal was to “impede” President Trump’s re-election and "denigrate" him as a candidate.

I have since learned that the intelligence community's inspector general (ICIG) has determined the complaint is credible.

Yemen: Penal code and Houthi courts: stoning for married men; recent mass death sentences for “sodomy.”

Afghanistan: Taliban apply Sharia; same-sex acts treated as zina/liwat and can be capital. Death penalty imposed

Mauritania: Article 308: Muslim men can be stoned for being gay

Brunei: Syariah Penal Code: stoning for men

Northern Nigeria: 12 Sharia states: death for men

Somalia: Al-Shabaab areas and some Islamic courts: death

Qatar, UAE, Pakistan: Death is legally allowed under Sharia

Uganda added a death penalty for “aggravated homosexuality” in 2023
