Sovereignty doesn't mean going it alone.
There's a difference between being free to make our own choices and believing we have to do everything ourselves. If we're serious about building a life outside the systems we no longer wish to depend on, we need each other.
That's the beauty of voluntarism. Sovereign individuals choosing to cooperate, build communities, and create alternatives without coercion or surrendering their freedom to walk away. What does that look like in practice?

When your mind is overwhelmed, who has your attention and your influence?
@DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman explore 5 psychology experiments and how distraction, worry, and fear can make us more susceptible to influence and less aware of the choices we’re making in the latest episode.

The psychiatric industry measures improvement in depression by how much less you feel. Can't cry at your mother's funeral? Success! Don't feel devastated when your child is hurting? Treatment is working! Unable to empathize with your spouse's pain? Congratulations, your depression is in remission! They've redefined mental health as emotional lobotomy and convinced us to celebrate our numbness as recovery.
What happens when we see the headlines, but never the human cost of war?
@DrMcFillin and I connect the psychology experiments we discussed to how distance, obedience, and dehumanization can make suffering like this easier to overlook.

Does a white coat make someone right or make us less likely to question them?
From TV doctors to medical experts in the news, we’ve spent a lifetime seeing white coats presented as symbols of authority.
@DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman explore how those repeated messages may shape our trust, influence our decisions, and make it harder to challenge someone we’ve been taught to obey.
What happens when we pay more attention to the uniform than the argument? See the outcomes of experiments preformed on us in the past in the latest episode on https://t.co/dwVYjKLaCs
Would you follow orders even if they went against your conscience?
Our first Monday episode of Radically Genuine is here. @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman explore five psychology experiments that raise unsettling questions about authority, obedience, and how we decide what’s right.
What would make you question the person giving the orders?
Watch or listen now at https://t.co/QyHZyQVmWs
In Milgram’s obedience experiment, 65% of participants followed orders all the way to the maximum 450-volt shock, which they believed they were administering to another person.
But in a variation where two fellow participants refused to continue, 90% resisted. So they had to observe someone else non complying. Resisting to engage in that atrocity.
Then the noncompliance skyrocketed to 90%. All you had to do was observe someone else say, no, I am not going to do that. And now it provided permission for others to resist it.
We added Monday shows to Radically Genuine!
Our first Monday episode is out today. Roger and Tracy explore five psychology experiments that raise a revealing question: Are we being programmed to obey?
Together, they discuss what these experiments suggest about authority, obedience, and trusting your own conscience.
Join us for our first Monday conversation—and look for our guest episodes on Thursdays.
