For a moment let us set aside the fact that changing the name of the AIFF to the Football Federation of Bharat or adding Vande Mataram in addition to the National Anthem before matches is not going to make any material difference to how the Indian team plays football.
My question is, did none of the committee members in the room even think that as the guardians and guiding lights of the world's most popular sport in the world's most populous country, these were not the decisions that every football lover was looking for from them?
And that worries me more than any name change or additional ceremony. They have no idea how tone deaf their decisions sounded in the middle of a World Cup, utterly detached from ground realities.
My overall percentage increased from 84% to 91% after the correction of my Chemistry paper.
That’s how serious answer sheet errors can be. Many students with low marks may be blaming themselves, while the real issue could actually be an evaluation mistake or checking error.
The Pope has weighed in: AI isn't magic. It is produced by a currently deeply exploitative, extractive supply chain. It challenges human dignity; it could fuel a new colonialism. And among the greatest challenges of our time will be to redirect its path of development.
Instead of worrying that humanities degrees don’t prepare students for jobs in today’s world [product managers finance consultants startups], we should worry that we’ve created a world with such little value for literature, art, philosophy—anything that expresses the human soul
Nights with power cuts. The sweat drenching the bedsheet. The wrist paining after swinging the hand fan made out of newspaper for hours. The bloody mean mosquitoes singing lullabies in the ears. The neighbourhood electricity supply office picking up your phone after the 40th attempt to tell you - peechay se nahi aa rahi. Walking up and down on the terrace for the rest of the night in a delirious state.
If you haven't lived this life you've missed all the fun.
Long message, but trust me, it will be worth your time. Here is a remarkable update from Tamil Nadu’s tagged turtles. Early tracking data shows that some have already travelled to the Sri Lanka Dome, a little known ocean region where marine life gathers in extraordinary numbers. What makes this even more astonishing is that turtles migrating from Odisha are also expected to arrive in the same waters. Species from distant coastlines are converging at one natural marine hotspot shaped entirely by the rhythm of the ocean.
The Sri Lanka Dome is created by powerful seasonal ocean processes that bring cool, nutrient-rich waters to the surface. This fuels plankton blooms and attracts turtles, fish, whales, seabirds, and countless other marine species. It is one of the most productive upwelling zones in the world’s oceans, beginning in May, reaching its peak in July, and declining in September. At that time, the turtles move out of the region and begin their return migration once again.
These journeys reveal that turtles do not belong to one shoreline or one state. Their lives depend on a CONNECTED ocean, where feeding grounds, migration corridors, and breeding beaches all matter equally.
Places like the Sri Lanka Dome remain unknown to most people, yet they are among the most important ecosystems in the Indian Ocean, like hidden engines that sustain marine biodiversity.
The message from these turtles is clear. Conservation cannot stop at the beach. It must extend across borders and across seas because wildlife knows no boundaries 🙌🫶

Hornbills are drawn to tall, old trees for a reason. They do not build nests and depend entirely on natural cavities and deep hollows formed over decades in towering giants to breed and raise their chicks. These trees, often hundreds of years old, have quietly sheltered generations of hornbills. They also sustain life, as hornbills and many other species feed on a variety of fruits, seeds and insects found on trees. The survival of these towering elders can determine whether future generations of hornbills endure or fade away, for they are truly the Trees of Life. Conservation, therefore, is not only about protecting a species but about preserving the entire ecosystem it depends on #AnamalaiTigerReserve #Hornbills #Valparai
The most important thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it happened —how fast people on bikes “appeared” —once streets were transformed. You can’t write this off as “#Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t.
It took leadership.
One of the biggest scams Indian telcos have pulled off is to convince you you're in 5g mobile internet, when it works in 3g speeds.
If you ever experience 5G abroad, you'll instantly realise how poor Indian telecos are.
