This episode is one of my favorites in a very long time. I think it’s a glimpse of the future, and I’d bet on multiple topics we cover in this interview hitting the mainstream in the next 24–36 months.
It’s important to have a sense of the oneness of humanity. That’s why wherever I go and whoever I talk to I try to promote this idea in an effort to break down barriers between us.
The only way to effectively deal with negative emotions, the only way to really reduce them, is through the mind, through the application of counteractive mental states that oppose the negative emotions affecting us. That’s the only real, long-term way to reduce them.
Ryan Kelley, a far-right Republican candidate for governor of Michigan, was arrested by the FBI and faces four misdemeanor charges stemming from his participation in the attack at the Capitol on January 6. CNN's @kpolantz has more: https://t.co/oeTKVWnbjZ

It’s time to turn this pain into action.
Today, Oklahoma passed a law effectively banning abortion from the moment of fertilization—the latest in a series of blatant attacks on women by extremist legislators. It has never been more urgent that we elect pro-choice leaders at the local, state, and federal level.
Various emotions are part of our mind and part of our life. Jealousy that amounts to competitiveness can stimulate us to achieve more—then it’s good. When the result is that we try to harm others to beat them, it’s to be avoided.
We have to remember that each and every one of us is part of humanity. We must be determined to achieve positive change, but also to take a long view of what needs to be done. What is important is not to become demoralized. Optimism leads to success; pessimism leads to defeat.

If we make consistent effort, based on proper education, we can change the world. We are selfish, that’s natural, but we need to be wisely selfish, not foolishly selfish. We have to concern ourselves more with others’ well-being, that’s the way to be wisely selfish.
Please don’t think that compassion, love and tolerance only belong to religion. They belong to human life. From compassion we develop self-confidence; that brings inner strength, allowing us to act with transparency and candour.
