@TiffanyFong I hope you've made millions since suffering those losses. As for Trump, his organization and family have pocketed around $1.4 billion so far. The cynic in me thinks Trump's most recent moves around CLARITY are to take some of the heat off himself after the new Congress is seated.
@Jason@sophaller To answer her question for anyone opposed, it's all local action, lawsuits, and pressuring local officials. Around here, 4/5 recently proposed data centers were either rejected or the developer withdrew their application. I am all for progress, just not near any of my properties.
@ZGBG321@Jason I don't know about the accuracy of the numbers, but people following the lead of some formerly strong but fringe Trump advocates seem to have completely changed their views (e.g. Alex Jones).
@GinaNic02483743 Despite all appearances to the contrary of my account, I would have noted "no" even if the outcome was the opposite with 10 Rs and 1 D. I don't believe in taking away my neighbors' right to be heard, even temporarily. That's a bedrock concept in our Constitution.
@Jason He could just take a those specific pages out of my book. I mean, if need be, go to Barnes & Noble and just tear out those pages and stuff them in his pocket. Or, I'll send him as many author copies as his team needs.
@MacroooHog@BernieSanders Add both founders of Google (Florida and maybe Texas?). Add billionaire and thought leader David Sacks (Texas). California's population of ~200 billionaires has shrunk enough to where the anticipated $100 billion will never materialize, even if Governor Newsom signs.
@blue_man_chu@BernieSanders I agree we cannot as a society continue to squeeze people at the bottom. But it is also true that things can get far worse for all Americans if we run all job-creating wealth - both old and new - out of the country over taxation and wealth redistribution. It's a tough problem.
@jossaparicio22@BernieSanders We should probably drive out the worst fraud, waste, and abuse out of the system first. Then, if the need still exists, there might be more support for tax increases.

@DerplandAdam @MeidasTouch@grok I'm not for disenfranchising half my neighbors in any US state, no matter how strongly I disagree anyone's views. This action is unconstitutional. And it is disrespectful. I'm surprised Barack Obama is supporting these measures, even with pointing out their temporary nature.
