@mignano I don't think that's new.
Also, the Sonos app is finally stable (still missing some key features but it's at least usable)
Of course, using Spotify to control Sonos only works for people who have (premium) Spotify and does nothing for users who store their music on a NAS.
Wait. Hang on. So, @Sonos wasn't content with the number of people mad at them, they had to pull the plug on users who had not updated or rolled back the app, and force them to update to an app which still doesn't have several critical functions?
@astronomer1971@Sonos I had that too. Turned out to be the drop of SMB1 support. Took some doing but after updating the NAS firmware to latest available for mine (which is also not new) I was able to change the settings to SMB2/SMB3 and that fixed the problem.
if you still have the old app.
@Sonos It was the drop of SMB1 that did it.
Took some work but I was able to update my NAS' firmware (from way outdated) to current and, success.
Sonos app (v16) once again recognizes my library, playlists, etc ...
@Sonos Did you... completely turn off NAS access even in the earlier version of the app that still work as of like 48 hours ago?
What's wrong with you?
@Sonos Hey guys, you can roll back the terrible Android (80.00.04 version) update back to (16.1 version) by following the link. Once installed, remember to disable auto updates.
Apple users, do NOT update the iOS version as that cannot be rolled back.
