About October 7. Journalist, historian and former war correspondent @wierdduk from Dutch newspaper @telegraaf wrote this comment today after seeing the awful images at the Israeli embassy👇🏽

"I watched the uncensored footage of the terror attack by Hamas on Oct. 7. Footage from the terrorists' gopro's and cellphones, dashcams and security cameras.

This is necessary because October 7 has already disappeared from the media and public eye.

1 have seen a lot in my life, been in wars, but this is another level of horror, comparable only to the atrocities committed by IS and Nazi executioners.
45 minutes of horrific footage of a veritable orgy of slaughter: of killing and burning babies, children, entire families and groups of friends, elderly people. And each time that cry, in triumph: "Allahu Akbar!"

The jubilant terrorists, euphoric as they shoot another child.

Calling their parents, crying with joy: "Mom, I killed ten of them with my own hands! Their blood is still on my hands!"
I will never forget this: two brothers and their father, still in underwear because it is early in the morning, run to a shelter, screaming with fear. A terrorist throws a grenade.

The father dies on the spot; the boys emerge from their hiding place in panic: "Daddy, Daddy!

The terrorists push them into the house. The one boy in shock: "Daddy is dead, I think we are going to die too." His little brother can no longer see with 1 eye: "I can't see anything," he cries. His brother cares for him, then falls to the ground, crying: "God, why am I still alive?", while a terrorist loots the refrigerator.
Where are these little boys now? In Gaza, held hostage, grieving and in agony?

Anyone who says "yes, but ..." deserves a place in the deepest caverns of hell.
Oh yes, NOS was also invited, but the editors did not even respond." He concluded.

Let’s never forget that never again is now. And a responsibility for each of us.

In the meantime some leading European politicians still hesitate to call Hamas a terror organisation. 💔

I don’t even understand antisemitism, tbh. It was easy to understand it growing up because it was clearly a religious demand. But I can’t figure out why secular ppl have this much hate. Like if you’re going to be so bigoted that you’re gonna hate a ppl for their religion, you skipped past the ones that actually engaged in holy wars across the planet and you decided you’d hate on the only ones that DON’T proselytize and conquer and invade and colonize? What’s your problem with 0.2% of the planet? Too many Nobel prizes? Too many successful doctors, lawyers, artists, and scientists? What exactly is it that you hate about Jewish ppl? I don’t want to hear the lies that this has anything to do w Israel when you are out there screaming gas the Jews and Khaybar Khaybar etc. This is hate for Jewish ppl and we all know it. We just don’t know why.

A fact that goes missed:
In the Palestinian state in Gaza there was no Israeli “occupation” whatsoever.

Not one inch.
Not one Israeli soldier or civilian.

In 2005 Israel officially left the entire Gaza Strip to the very last inch.

We pulled out ALL Israelis and ALL IDF soldiers.

We pulled back to the 1949 borders.

At first, we applied no blockade or siege.

We handed the keys over to the Palestinian authority.

At that point they had an opportunity to turn Gaza into an amazing and beautiful state.

A Singapore with beautiful beaches, hotels, tourism, business and culture.

They chose otherwise.

A majority of Palestinians voted Hamas whose explicit goal is to destroy Israel.

Hamas won both in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria (aka “the West Bank”).

They began shooting rockets from their new state into Israel.

Tens of thousands of rockets killed children and citizens of Israel, ever since.

THEY CHOSE DEATH FOR JEWS OVER LIFE FOR PALESTINIANS.

Their goal has never been to live side-by-side Israel, but to destroy Israel.

For the past 20 years Israelis hoped again and again that our neighbours seek happiness for their families and this will ultimately moderate them.

We Israelis believe in the inherent goodness of humans.

We were wrong.
Dead wrong.

This is the tough reality we’re facing.

This is a battle between an ideology of life and one of death.

We say “le-Haim” - to life.
We say “Shalom” - peace.

They say “itbach el yahud” - slaughter the Jews.

This is our reality of 2023.

Let me be clear: all Israelis, wall-to-wall are now united to bring total defeat to the terrorists agents of death.

Life will prevail over death.

Please don’t try to stop us, because we won’t until we win.
