The first commercially available CT scanner was created by a British engineer named Godfrey Hounsfield. Rumor has it that the funding of this scanner came from the wild success of the Beetles! The company behind the building of the CT scanner was EMI who owned Abbey Road Studios
The first xray produced was of the hand of Wilhelm Roentgen’s wife. Imaging has come a long way since this first image.
How is your department celebrating this week? Leave some photos and comments to share with your colleagues/peers!
On this day in 1895, Wilhelm Roentgen discovered x-rays. Today is the international day of radiology and the start of NRTW 2020.
Make sure you take some time this week to celebrate your profession and your colleagues.
