@MelissaLeisner@ncte@donalynbooks@MrSchuReads This summer I read Return to Sender by Julia Alvarez. It might be more political than you’re looking for, but I really enjoyed the story. I recommend it as a personal read at the very least.
How you treat your students nearly always says more about you than it does about them.
Even when they act out or lash out, keep your cool and don’t take it personally.
Always strive to preserve the dignity of each child in your care. Be a champion for each one.
Happy back to school, #Educators! I'd like to beef up your libraries w/ a pile of PB, MG, or YA books (many are SIGNED)! To enter, pls RT, F, and comment w/ the pile you want. The MG pile comes w/ a signed arc of #MomentousEvents, releasing on 9/17! Thanks for all you do ♥️ 🌵😁
I believe you are the answer to someone's prayers. You are an unexpected blessing in someone's life. God wants to use you, and he wants you to have vision for every age and stage of life - including this one.
Your heart is much too beautiful of a place for bitterness, anger, and resentment.
That hurt you experienced is real. But it’s taken enough away from you.
Time to let some peaceful and pleasant seeds take root and flourish and crowd out the weeds.
As leaders, we can often be distracted by what looks like an “opportunity.” Just because we CAN do something doesn’t mean we SHOULD. We don't need to just do MORE, we need to do what MATTERS to make a bigger difference. #leadershippodcast
We have an enemy, friends. But it’s not each other.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12
My newest mantra - I’m saying no to choices I have control over that don’t get me 100% excited, boost my confidence or happiness level, or draw out my passions and gifts from God. 💜 #priorities#workinprogress#Hiswill
Teacher friends... what month for you is most challenging for whatever reason. Trying to get data for a report I’m working on for the District. Any RT would be helpful to expand the reach.
Our job isn’t to fix our enemies. Our job is to be obedient to God in how we deal with them.
A good reminder as we start this new day.
“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:44 (NIV)
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
