@ me with any questions. See y'all then.
This is such a terrible analogy. A far more accurate one is โif somebody invites you to play basketball and then blocks your shot, it is perfectly valid to get mad at them for ruining your fun.โ
I feel like some people think it's a flex to claim they like stax or that others are weak for disliking it.
If somebody invites you to play basketball, but then deflates the ball and makes you wear flip-flops, it's perfectly valid to say that it sucks the fun out of the game ๐ฎโ๐จ
New Article on AAA. Play for Keeps. An ode to the Ante.
"Cut the cord and jack into the birth of magic itself." Phil's tour of his four AAA decks is up. Mono Black, U/R Burn, Merfolk, and Zoo Lords.

have seen the "me and my fav binder page" trend taking over non-magic tcg twitter but it doesn't appear to have made it to the mtg community yet.. is that because we don't have as strong of collecting culture vs. playing?
@Samsoni1MTG@nerd_gazm@BugsyOP@DuressCrew WOTC not giving any support to help provide media coverage of RC's is ridiculous, this job is nearly impossible for just 1 person to be doing. Good on you for making the best of it though
After spending the last two years building out the @DuressCrew stream, it shocks me how little effort companies put into these productions. These are large companies with WOTC support that are streaming flagship tournaments!
@BugsyOP@DuressCrew I should have been more careful with my language and I hate tearing into other people's work, but yeah I meant "effort" on the part of f2f/wotc in the form of funding/hiring, not that of the actual production team.
@ArtemisNixNix It is a big thing in the old school/premodern communities to use slabbed cards as coasters! I was using a judge foil memory lapse at a tournament a few weeks ago
My father-in-law is a twitch streamer. He is insanely gifted. We were looking at an old coverage vod together and I asked him what it would cost to build it today. I will never forget his answerโฆ 'We canโt, we donโt know how to do it.โ
One other thing to point out is the arbitrary printings that are pulled for these overlays. Look at the Emeritus of Ideation in the sideboard. Even the PT stream is guilty of this one. And it isnโt even a hard thing to fix!
The F2F camera is self explanatory but the SCG deck list is something that pisses me off even more. It seems like their overlay is hard coded to max out as a 10x3 grid, so I believe a few cards are missing (I count 56). AND WHY IS IT ALPHABETICAL. NO ONE READS LISTS LIKE THAT!
Iโm waiting in line for my graduate commencement to start so Iโm goldfishing some slivers hands, league video with the deck drops tomorrow on the duress crew channel! Itโs my first video using the DB account, Iโm curious what decks people want to see now that I can play whatever
Wrapped up the NA PM Champs / Lobstercon organizer's report and I'm extremely proud to announce that we raise $19,314 for Room to Grow!
Thanks to everyone who donated and joined us for such a great weekend of Premodern magic. Congrats to Brian Siu for taking the whole thing down and claiming the title.

@terribadmtg@masoneclark Now if a fringe deck is making a deep run and proving it can hang with tier 1 decks, then yeah, show it off in those matchups. But in the first few rounds watching spice vs spice is just always going to be the better pick.
@terribadmtg@masoneclark It can be a little risky though because if you put a fringe deck on camera against a tier 1 deck and the fringe deck gets dumpstered then viewers will often draw negative conclusions about the meta/format/etc. Fringe vs fringe ensures that doesnโt happen.
