@KinCONN If you are interested in mathematical forecasts, I’ve been finding @SentinelTeamHQ ‘s inclusion of H5n1 in their weekly forecast interesting; no numbers for this week but they had a prediction last week. They are generalist forecasters

@rhirhiarhii @richardhirschs1 True but today the likelihood of dying from untreated rabies is incredibly rare so feels like a bit of a red herring rather than a real threat to worry about. Many of the diseases listed don’t have a reliable vaccine or treatment. Honestly, just semantics tho

@nocturnalxlight Been having a similar situation, it can be really hard when you watch friends choose to suffer (likely) for cultural validation. Sometimes it helps my feelings to remember that it’s not really the friend thinking or believing that but the culture speaking through them.
