Hello #MedTwitter! Allow me to reintroduce myself
My name is Rachel and I just applied to residency #Match2027 for Family Medicine!
It feels so surreal to make it to this point and excited to be getting closer to the M.D.
Sending love to everyone applying, we got this!
Hey everyone! We're having our annual mixer at the AAFP Future Conference on Friday July 31st at the American Jazz Museum at 5pm CT. It’s a free networking event with food, games, and prizes! All URM are invited! Y’all don’t wanna miss it! 🎉
We have spent years being told it is “just a period problem” while our skin, our weight, our mood, and our energy were all falling apart. Today, the medical world finally admitted you were right.

The healthcare journey is tough, but the wins are always beautiful to watch. Congratulations to everyone leveling up. 👏🏾
love the dynamic on medicine rounds. the attending, oracle speaking in socratic questions. the senior resident, muse translating prophecy into orders. the intern, scribe clutching the sacred patient list. the med student, peasant at court unsure if they’re allowed to speak
Tylenol does not cause autism.
Vaccines don’t cause autism.
Autism isn’t anyone’s “fault.” It’s simply something someone is born with. Stop blaming mothers and parent’s choices to vaccinate (AND PROTECT) their children.
First time at @futurefamilymed conference and it was a weekend I will never forget! Met such amazing people and learned so much about the beauty of family medicine. Thank you to @AAFPFoundation for the opportunity to attend. Can’t wait to come back next year! 🤩
Join us at our annual ABFMP Mixer for the chance to meet Black attendings, residents, and medical students in one authentic space.
It will take place on Friday, August 1st at 5pm at the American Jazz Museum.
It’s going to be a fun event and we hope to see you there!
If you’re interested in academic medicine and/or teaching within Family Medicine, you should be a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine @stfm_fm . Join us on Monday 06/23 at 7pm EST to learn more about STFM and how to get involved. #FMRevolution#FamilyMedicine
There was an enormous sense of pride amongst our community, as the CUNY School of Medicine MD Class of 2027 received their clinical white coats last evening. The Clinical White Coat ceremony provides a moment of reflection as the class transitions into clinical practice.
