Okay, first reaction:

76% is a significant majority.

But, we cannot ignore the 24% of Albertans who voted to begin the process of holding a referendum. That is a sizable minority.

We are going to have to try to build bridges here. There are going to be awkward conversations.

That's part of the democratic process. Just because Remain looks to have won doesn't mean we can ignore the separatists' grievances.

Because some of them are legitimate.
