Parang sobrang performative na nagcome out as HIV positive yung isang pageant contestant tapos biglang naging advocacy niya ang HIV education and awareness.
Eh di ba majority ng clout niya before puro bareback and unprotected sex?? 🫣
Advocacy kasi magandang exposure? Yikes.
THE PHILIPPINE SENATE in 28 days under Alan Peter Cayetano:
Estimated Cost - P700M. Output - chaos, gunfire, Bato’s escape despite ICC-issued warrant while under its “protective custody”, session boycott, failed destabilization attempt, unauthorized committee hearings highlighted by one not presided nor attended by a single senator.
WHAT A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS’ MONEY!
Supreme Court suspends Atty. Jesus Nicardo Falcis III from the practice of law for one year over his 2018 tweet defending his brother, who was then facing charges filed by actress Kris Aquino. | via @adrianayalin
Falcis ruling is interesting to me on aspect of aggravating circumstances that increase penalty in lawyer's discipline cases.
First, prior judicial contempt penalties, not just CPRA violations, may be accounted for increasing penalties. Does lower court contempt count as well?
I don’t really care for pageants or Brandon Espiritu or whatever, but I’ve always found these half-Filipinos who model or try to become a celebrity here in the Philippines just tragic and sad.
They’re more American/European with their culture, personality, upbringing but they can’t find work there because they still look Filipino, so they’re forced to go find work here in the Philippines where they’re worshipped despite their blatant mediocrity and talentless due to colonial mentality.
I mean… remember Jarren Garcia? He looks so Filipino but doesn’t talk Filipino nor does he have the personality and culture of actually being Filipino.
They’re essentially outcasts to where they actually grew up in, and they’re only forced to find work here because they’re not really accepted to where they actually consider home.
I’ve always just found them sad and pitiful tbh.
Not accurate. Sen Cayetano is no longer SP. With 12 senators present, a quorum was declared out of the base number of 22 since Sens de la Rosa and Estrada are outside the “coercive power” of the Senate (Avelino v Cuenco. GR No 2821).
Hence, we voted to declare all positions vacant, although we could not yet elect a new SP because we lacked the 13 votes required under the Constitution.
Text from Avelino v. Cuenco, 83 Phil. 17 (1949), which the new Senate leadership relies on for the position that their 12 Senators are sufficient to constitute a quorum.

In a condescending tone, a colleague, who is a lawyer took issue with Sen Hontiveros’ lack of “legal background”. I have a simple message — it’s the RULES stupid!
MAHALAGANG PAGLILINAW: Hindi maaaring tumanggap ang isang abogado ng warrant of arrest para siya na lamang ang mag-serve sa kanyang kliyente. Walang ganun. Wala sa batas o rules yun.
Okay? Okay.
BMW IS NOT AN OPPORTUNIST!
She literally asked me where she can join protests. SHE RALLIED WITH & FOR FILIPINOS. Dont ever question her pagka-“Pilipino” dahil mas Pilipino pa sya kaysa mga pinanganak at tumira sa Pinas pero hindi man lang kayang bumoses at ipaglaban ang bansa.
In a recent SC decision, the Court took issue with the petitioner’s lawyer citing 18 cases that were either marked with the wrong case number or did not actually support the petitioner’s argument. While the SC did not say so, this may be evidence of AI hallucinations.
