Madame Celeste Amarilla,

Daigo vs Poongko at EVO 2011.
You could already feel the tension before the match even started. The atmosphere around this set was so good. Still one of my favorite moments from the SF4 era 🔥
Poongko really removed the belt before the match 😂
It’s already been 15 years since that day.
Looking back on it now, I remember feeling so nervous that it felt like my stomach was going to burst. I wanted to win no matter what, so that performance was something I came up with impulsively just to shake off the tension.
But thinking about it again now… it really was something I probably shouldn’t have done.
I still wonder how I even managed to win back then.
Honestly, it’s a good thing I won — if I had lost, it probably would have become an unbelievable black-history moment.
I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss those days.
It’s something I could never do again now.
But because moments like that existed, I’ll never forget that I’m still able to stand on the stage of fighting game tournaments even today.
