@elonmusk “I mean, I get it, right? I'm single and I choose to foster a pet, so it must be a pathetic attempt to fill the hole in my soul that would otherwise be filled by what? A penis? No, thanks. I'm full up.” RUSSIAN DOLL
@SkySportsF1 So… is calling Verstappen “IMPERIOUS” in opening titles intentional or because you don’t know its meaning: “arrogantly domineering or overbearing. synonym: dictatorial”
@cities1978 I loved your John Garfield piece. And have to admit that Garfield AND Tyrone made me teary. So… given your out line, how come you haven’t done NAKED CITY yet? (Love your work)
@medibank So in todays email update from Medibank is the general (good) advice to NEVER click on any link you receive in an email, and further information is accessible through clicking a number of links within the email.
😂😬
@markkilborn I (tape) edited myself making radio programs long ago. Yep - weird at first but it taught me a lot about how to improve my presentation and how to pick up midway in sentences knowing that I’d be able to edit it back together.
Did you know that dogs and wolves can howl in harmony but as soon as they do, they purposely create dissonance so they can count how many they are? I love this.
@smh@cloe_read Can we be done with these idiot ‘politicians’. Same day as: “The executive director of the Australian Defence Association, Neil James, said there were very few military, academic or civilian strategic security analysts who did not consider climate change a serious problem.”
@Juanita_Phillip Is “1 in 1000 years” simply the math-fog version of over-used “unprecedented” = the excuse that no one could have known Event X would happen & so preparation was impossible = “I didn’t listen to anyone about this being likely to happen”.
@GretchenMedia In 80s I pitched a program to Background Briefing about effect of the Syd Airport runway extensions on local wetland environment. Was told no one interested because it was a “local issue”. Every environment & climate issue has local effects & each of them IS the story.
@NickGibney @doctorow@locusmag Yes. And it is always overlooked that these textile workers’ looms were, even pre the use of automation they fought, extraordinarily sophisticated technologies. To say they were simply ‘anti-technology’ has never made sense.
@whittyjules @Julie28086389 @JoshButler Bannon has made no secret of strategy to align the right around the world. Failed at attempt to establish college in Italy but succeeding in coordinating talking points & unifying disparate groups enough to gain traction.
