আমাদের আশেপাশে সীমিত আয়ের বা বেকার অনেকেই অনেক সময় ছোট ছোট বিপদে পড়ে যেমন : হঠাৎ চিকিৎসা খরচ, কিংবা নিজের প্রয়োজনীয় কোন ঔষুধ কিনার টাকা থাকে না। আবার সেইটা অনেকের কাছে চাইতেও পারেনা। আমরা আমাদের Social Frame Bangladesh এর মাধ্যমে এই সমস্যা সমাধানে একটা উদ্যোগ নিয়েছি।

This is a historic step, signalling our focus on policy continuity, investment protection and credible dispute resolution. These are the fundamentals that matter when capital commits for the long term.

What’s exciting is where this leads. Beyond traditional manufacturing and energy, the EPA opens space for sectors like automotive, digital services, logistics and healthcare. Japanese investment brings more than capital — it brings technology, skills, systems and standards. That mix changes how economies scale.

This, however, is just the beginning. We know we need to set up such platforms with major markets for a successful LDC graduation. We are, therefore, engaging with our partners across continents — including the United States 🇺🇸, the European Union 🇪🇺, and South Korea 🇰🇷 to ink such agreements.

Bangladesh is not waiting for the future to arrive; we are putting the architecture in place now.

ঈদের দ্বিতীয় দিন এই ছবিটি তোলা হয়, ছবিতে লাল গোলাকার বৃত্তের ব‍্যক্তিটি মেহেদী মালেক সজীব। যিনি এর ঠিক দুইদিন আগে ৩০ মার্চ ২০২৫ রাত ১১.৩০ মিনিটে গাড়ি চাপা দিয়ে নিরাপত্তা প্রহরী দীন মোহাম্মদকে মেরে পালিয়ে যান।

একটা মানুষ কতটা ঠান্ডা মাথার খুনী হলে একজন অসহায় মানুষকে গাড়ি চাপা দিয়ে মারার দুইদিনের মাথায় ঈদের অনুষ্ঠানে সস্ত্রীক যোগ দিতে পারে? এবং এখানে উপস্থিত তার বন্ধুদের মধ‍্যে বেশ কয়েকজনই সজীবের গাড়ি চাপা দেয়ার ঘটনাটা জানতো।

সজীবের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা হয়েছে, তাকে পুলিশ খুঁজছে, তাকে পুলিশের কাছে সোপর্দ করুন, আর এখনো যদি মনে করেন আপনি তাকে রক্ষা করবেন, তাহলে সেটা ভুলে যান। আপনি যত বড় ক্ষমতাবানই হোন না কেন, একে আইনের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করতে পারবেন না।

It’s about time India comes to the realization that their darling, their biggest asset Sheikh Hasina and her party @albd1971 have been emphatically booted out of Bangladesh. And no amount of deviousness on their side can put her back to power. She is a closed chapter and the deep sense of resentment and grievances that the people of Bangladesh feel is still very raw and burning.

What would be the wise way to proceed for India? Obviously, being the proud country that India is, it wouldn’t do a public mea culpa of its foreign policy. But as long as it does it in private and goes for a public redress, there is a good chance that the people of Bangladesh can move forward. In practice, India couldn’t act more boneheaded if it tried and it’s about time the country dials back its aggression.

India must unequivocally apologise for the attack on the Bangladesh assistant high commission in Agartala and pledge to bring those responsible for the attack to book. Without this, there can’t be a way forward.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, must also disclose its reasons for arresting Chinmoy Das. So far, there hasn’t been any clear communication on the reasons for his arrests, which is making me wonder if it was some impetuous move by someone in the government. It is evident that Hasina loyalists are still serving within the security and intelligence apparatus.

The Students Against Discrimination leaders must also tone down their rhetorics. I strongly condemn the trampling of the Indian flag in university campuses. I hope people remember that one doesn’t become more respected by disrespecting someone. Such dishonour to any country’s national emblem is unacceptable and is not scoring us any points — we are simply showing ourselves to be a classless bunch. I would urge all to think twice before taking any rash decisions — for the sake of our nation. Our aspiration is to build a decent, civilised and a tolerant society — let our thoughts and acts be towards that end.

The Hindus and the local media have a part to play in diffusing the tension. I would urge the Hindus to speak up in favour of their country — which is Bangladesh. Dear Hindu brothers and sisters, you owe it to your country to let the world know whether you are oppressed in Bangladesh or not, and if there is any concern, you will sort it out yourself — without India’s needless interference.

And the local media, show us your patriotism. If you are for a sovereign Bangladesh, please expose the Indian disinformation juggernaut — loud and clear. I’m yet to see any mainstream media speak on this issue. And @dailystarnews, do the right thing now. As the largest circulated English newspaper, your country needs you to control the narrative in English, the global language. If all local Bangladeshi media speak up against the Indian disinformation campaign, surely it is these links that will show up on top of Google’s search indexes and not the fake news by Indian portals.

C’mon, let’s all act like adults and get a handle on this situation.

ভারতের পতাকা পায়ে মাড়িয়ে আমাদের স্বাধীনতা রক্ষা হবে না। আমাদের দরকার শক্তিশালী কৃটনৈতিক এবং রাজনৈতিক বুঝাপোড়া। দুই দেশের সম্পর্ক থাকবে সাম্যবস্থায়, কেউ কারো মুখাপেক্ষী নয়। ঢাকার বলিষ্ট প্রতিবাদ করা এবং আমাদের সকলের ধৈর্য্য ধরা এখন সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
