Listen to this extremist— Uttar Pradesh’s 🇮🇳 chief minister Yogi says in his election speeches that “Land of Bengal” should not become “Land of Kaaba.”
This “provocative linkage” isn’t an argument; it’s a rhetorical tactic. It turns a sacred religious symbol into a political “outcome” to be feared, and implies that Muslim identity does not belong in a certain region.
That’s how exclusion is wrapped up as nationalism: by collapsing religion into a threat narrative instead of addressing real policies.
