Ed Sheeran’s tour opener, Irish singer Aaron Rowe, has dropped out of the tour:

“As Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation. I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children. I would lose all respect for myself to carry on as normal.”

Macklemore says Ed Sheeran and his team decided to remove him from tour due to his comments in support of Palestine, after Kraft Group rallied stadium owners and gave Ed an ultimatum:

“[Ed] told me that the words ‘Free Palestine’ and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, ‘I don't take sides.’”

Lucu ya, kalau diresapi lagi, ternyata selama ini gue bener-bener sendirian. Gue pikir lingkaran pertemanan gue luas, tempat mengadu gue banyak, dan nama gue cukup diingat. Tapi itu cuma ilusi. Gue cuma kenal banyak orang, bukan punya temen yang bener-bener tempat pulang. Sering banget gue ngerasa deket sama banyak jiwa, saling tukar cerita, tertawa sampai larut, tapi di ujung hari, saat riuh itu reda, gue sadar nggak ada satu pun dari mereka yang sudi jadiin gue prioritas. Not a single person would choose me first. Gue cuma ada saat mereka butuh penengah, pendengar, atau sekadar pengisi kekosongan. Begitu mereka selesai, gue kembali jadi sosok yang terlewatkan. Ternyata emang dari dulu gue tuh nggak pernah penting buat siapa pun wkwk, cuma gue aja yang ke-PDean ngerasa dianggap.
