Lately I've noticed an increasingly popular archetype in modern horror
I want to talk about what it is, and why I think it's so popular 🧵
It's a trope seen across countless different films, TV, video games etc
It's in Squid Games, the Saw franchise, the Portal series,

I did flipbooks for all of the Animorphs covers I did, but they appeared in black and white and very small, so I am posting them here so you can see them large and in color. You can buy a signed print of this cover here:

I’ll nvr understand why Xtians have this need to convince themselves that their religion is actually super logical. “Um akshully God was playing 4D chess with S8n and havin his son crucified was actually Satan falling for Gods masterful gambit 🤓” who are you trying to convince??
Something I learned from René Girard, which has always stuck with me, is that the Crucifixion was a "trap" set for Satan.
When you think of it as a genius plot to tempt Evil into abolishing itself, the logic is really illuminated and its coherence becomes hard to deny. 🧵
We cannot buy our way out of the climate crisis by personal choice or by setting up legal fictions. We built the dirty gas grid we depend on for electricity, and we must build our way out of it. Community solar programs are a great example of real solutions.
@dumpthebosses @antifamethhead2 @BadEmpanada That account is about as old as the current veteran discourse, and are just repeating the “don’t hate vets” talking points but replaced with cops instead of vets there is 110% they’re trolling
@granniebrenda27 @ozzykad @JeremyDeBold@hankgreen@BrooksEakin@RxHausted hm but I think this *is* a semantic argument worth having. When you say “X is banned in Y country” what you immediately think of is a government taking something away or otherwise denying access to something. But they have the exact same app. 1/?
@granniebrenda27 @ozzykad @JeremyDeBold@hankgreen@BrooksEakin@RxHausted With our language, especially when discussion a country whose government is a geopolitical enemy of our countries government. 3/3
@granniebrenda27 @ozzykad @JeremyDeBold@hankgreen@BrooksEakin@RxHausted And yes, it is of course worth pointing out that having a different user base is going to make the two apps different experiences. None of this is to say that Hank’s statement is *technically* wrong, but it’s worth being careful 2/3
That's a joke. I do my videos as accurately as possible. But it's an important reminder that you don't know. No one's fact-checking YouTubers. Double-check.
@BrianMcCrypto@manchotperdu@SameeraKhan There’s a difference between being hypocritical and being aware of, and not in favor of a set of circumstances. You’ve got to have more than 12 brain cells and critical thinking skills tho
