To the Finance Minister, Dr. Ato Forson (@Cassielforson)
Thank you, Sir, for your interest and immense role in getting us paid the money owed us.
You promised and you delivered and for that, myself and my colleagues are truly grateful.
Today is a holiday, but staff from the HR Department of the Ministry of Health sacrificed their time to come and receive our documents in order to fast-track the processes involved in our payment.
I’m grateful. Rx’22 is grateful 🙏🏽❤️ @KMAkandoh
Earlier today, I met with the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson (@Cassielforson), who assured me and showed me the work done so far regarding our salary issue. Rx’22 is grateful for your keen interest and the work done on the matter thus far.
We look forward to hearing from the Ministry of Health soon.
Like the Pharmacy thing, just this Monday I texted Doc George to ask him updates and he told me that the problem was not from the finance committee but from the Ministry of Health. I reached out to some people there to follow up for them. And Dr George himself can confirm this. The things I do in the background plentyyyy. And it's all pro bono cos after all if I no do nobody fit do me anything
@GeorgeAnagli What is the role of the Minister? Is it to go around inspecting hospitals? Is that what tax payers money is for @KMAkandoh? A great lesson learned. Because why would there still be issues after @Cassielforson mentioned this even in parliament during the budget reading? @JDMahama
I’ve realized that some of you don’t know the difference between Drugstores and Pharmacies:
1. Drugstore/Chemical Shop:
- Run by an Over the Counter Medicine Seller
- Sells ONLY over-the-counter (OTC) drugs.
- Cannot sell prescription medicines like antibiotics, opioid painkillers (eg Tramadol, Morphine, Pethidine, etc)
- These shops are only permitted in areas with limited access to pharmaceutical care.
2. Pharmacy
- Run by a qualified pharmacist.
- Sells both prescription and OTC drugs.
- Provides health advice and medication counseling.
Both facilities are regulated by the Ghana Pharmacy Council.
Note that buying prescription drugs from a chemical shop is illegal and unsafe..
