Canadians support Mark Carney’s management of the economy, even though he’s presided over the worst first year of growth for a prime minister since at least 1963, a poll showed. https://t.co/XtHIBvReFl
Stephen A. Smith admits he can’t wrap his head around “how the hell” the Clintons and Obamas left office worth upwards of $100,000,000 after “serving” the American people.
“Clinton was a lawyer in Arkansas, grew up poor, relatively broke. How the hell he and the Clinton Foundation are worth hundreds of millions of dollars beats me.”
“Barack Obama was a community organizer who became the President of the United States. And last time I checked, that salary ain’t over $450,000.”
“How the hell you depart from office, [together] you worth over $200 million?”
Clintons’ net worth before office: ~$1,300,000
Clintons’ net worth today: ~$120,000,000
Obamas’ net worth before office: ~$1,300,000
Obamas’ net worth today: ~$70,000,000

Coincidence ? 🇨🇦

Trump put tariffs on more than one country.
But only Canada, being led by Ivy-League economist Mark Carney, is in a recession.
It’s time for Liberal voters to own this.
Prime Minister,
You promised the "fastest-growing economy in the G7." You delivered the only recession in the G7.
Conservatives are calling for an emergency House debate now to reverse the damage you’ve done.
Canada is now in a recession, we need to revisit this timeline of Carney as the Governor of the bank of England.
It discusses his use of “Forward Guidance” which guided the economy into ruins.
This guy is an economic hitman & now Canada is his next target.
David Pagnotta: Re Macklin Celebrini: 15 [million] range wouldn't entirely shock me, but I don't know if they'll go full term on it, I think this might be a 5 year, get to the last year of your RFA status and then kind of go from there - Daily Faceoff Live (5/21)
Even school kids can see that the premier doesn’t actually have a plan on his social media ban.
Today I asked some questions written by grade 9 students from Linden Christian School who want to know how Wab Kinew actually plans on executing and enforcing his social media ban.
No one is denying the fact that we need to protect kids from dangers online.
But Manitoba parents deserve to see an actual thought-out plan, not flashy announcements for—ironically—clout on social media.
Wab Kinew does not need his budget bill passed to take PST off junk food.
He just hopes you don’t know that.
Even though the NDP hold a majority government, the premier is claiming that PCs are getting in the way of implementing the NDP’s half-baked affordability measures. This is pure political games.
The NDP can cut the PST off junk food today without the budget bill (BITSA).
Just like Selinger didn’t need a bill to raise the PST in 2013, and PCs didn’t need one to lower it in 2019.
Even so, Progressive Conservatives are willing to work with the NDP to not delay their budget bill further—but not without meaningful affordability measures.
We’ve called for the province to raise the basic personal exemption to $30,000. We’re now compromising by asking for the BPE to be raised to just $21,000.
This move would save your family $1000/year — ten times more than the NDP’s junk food tax cut.
Kinew unfortunately isn’t even trying to negotiate to make your life more affordable.
You can literally hear the premier laughing at the thought of you saving more money.
"If recommended reforms were followed by Canada’s government, the report — which includes a dissenting opinion from Liberal committee members — could end an era in which the country’s most powerful public official can legally profit in secret from companies affected by government decisions."
One of the best visuals of the US vs Canada's military strength.
I had no idea just how ill-equipped we really were. We should be incredibly thankful that they are our neighbors.
