This is the UK's new Business Secretary. He's never run a business. Nor even worked for one. He knows nothing about risk taking. Nor entrepreneurship. Nor meeting payroll. Nor remortgaging his house to provide working capital. Nor hiring staff. Nor skipping his salary so his employees can have theirs. Nope. He couldn't even manage to finish his training to become a solicitor. And now he's Secretary of State for Business for HM Government.
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, Burnham has appointed:
- a Housing Secretary who “resigned” in disgrace from the same job because she couldn’t even pay the correct stamp duty on her 2nd house
- a previously sacked convicted fraudster who will be in charge of ethics in the Cabinet Office
- a Business Secretary that had to apologise to parliament over misleading CV statements
- a Chancellor who couldn’t count how many frigates we had in our fleet when he was defence secretary
- a Defence Secretary with no military experience (despite multiple ex-servicemen available)
So much for the “hope” vibes.
Tories demand Angela Rayner hand back £17k payoff she received for quitting over tax row... now that she's back in her old job just 10 months later https://t.co/y4azOiUiBA
I am no fan of Refom but every time the @timespolitics@guardian mentions Geroge Cottrell the prefix it with “convicted criminal.”. They must prefix Louie Haigh then with “convicted fraudster.” Not to do so is to show disdain for professional journalism.
Lord Hermer is gone.
Good riddance to a man who hounded British soldiers in court and refused to apologise for it.
He took the side of foreign terrorists over our veterans.
It's utterly damning that Labour ever thought he was fit to be Attorney General.
