A woman has just given birth.

Everybody is happy. Then suddenly, she starts bleeding.

This is postpartum haemorrhage, and when it happens, no one has time to ask where the drug, tranexamic acid or TXA is.

That drug, Tranexamic acid can help reduce deaths from bleeding when it is given early after PPH starts.

So if a facility is providing emergency obstetric care, TXA should not be something they start looking for when the emergency has started.

It should be there.

As a man, if your wife is preparing to give birth, ask if the facility has TXA available. Same thing if you’re pregnant and preparing for delivery.

Ask questions. Know what is available.

Prepare before the emergency comes.

A 17-year-old Daniel Akanni is appealing for financial assistance worth N2m to undergo the amputation of his left leg and be fitted with an artificial limb.

Akanni was born with a leg deformity.

A thief with guts. This boy who lives in Gwarinpa Abuja acting like a big boy who sometimes hires bouncers and moves around with them went to a POS operator around 1st Avenue and collected N500k mints forming familiarity with the woman and did fake transfer.
The woman tried to reach him through phone call because the woman barely knows him around, he blocked the woman. He was later caught and received few touches few days back. Today he went and brought police to the POS spot to arrest the guy he alleged slapped him.
