10 years ago today, @rihanna released 'ANTI.'
To this day, 'ANTI' continues to make an impact. Back in December, the album reached 500 weeks on the Billboard 200, becoming the first solo album by a black female artist to achieve that milestone.
Marxist historian scholar Michael Parenti has passed away today at the age of 92.
Parenti was one of the most influential Marxist intellectuals of the modern era, known for his sustained critique of imperialism, capitalism, and the liberal narratives. Across decades of writing and public speaking, he focused on how empire operates in practice, beyond official rhetoric and Cold War orthodoxies.
His work challenged dominant accounts of US foreign policy, corporate power, and media framing, while also pushing back against caricatures of socialism prevalent in Western discourse. Writing in clear, accessible language, Parenti sought to make political economy and history understandable to broad audiences, without diluting his analysis.
Saleh was full of hope, happiness, relief, and joy the day he announced the ceasefire. Today he was murdered.
The voice of Gaza. He was continually banned from social media and the evil occupation continued to target him and spew propaganda about him so they can murder him. Yet his voice still reached the world. Glory be to our martyrs.
Journalist Anas al-Sharif won’t be around to announce the ceasefire as he did the last time,
because Israel assassinated him along with more than 260 other journalists.
This two-hour video presents the names of Gazans who were killed by Israeli occupation forces over the course of two years of genocide. Eternal honor, mercy, and glory to Gaza’s martyrs.🤲 https://t.co/uogyKpkqw9
Greta Thunberg in Greece:
I could talk for a very, very long time about our mistreatment and abuses in our imprisonment. Trust me, but that is not the story.
Israel is escalating genocide and mass destruction with genocidal intent, attempting to erase an entire population in front of our eyes.
A new Banksy artwork at the Royal Courts of Justice has been quickly covered up by authorities.
The piece showed a judge attacking a protester with a gavel – and appeared just two days after almost 900 Palestine activists were arrested in London
Palestinian children who have lost parents were overcome with emotion as they graduated in a ceremony at Gaza's al-Wafaa Orphan Village.
The UN says Israel has damaged 97% of educational facilities in the besieged enclave.
Wow. Today marks 50 years since women in the UK were legally allowed to get a mortgage themselves without written permission of a father or husband. And you guys think we’ve ’come so far’ and don’t need to go any further in freeing women🤣🙏🏾.
Palestinian statehood is not a bargaining chip.
It is not a threat.
It is an inalienable right of the Palestinian people.
Our demands on this shameful government remain the same: end all arms sales to Israel, impose widespread sanctions, and stop the genocide, now.
