@inthemarquis @Batman2242 I agree with half your statement. Sadly, we don’t use Chinese CCTV in defence. I’ve seen Axis (Swedish), Avigilon (Canada/US) and FLIR (US). Can’t even install a Hikvision camera in a main roads office. Had a colleague not allowed to bring his BYD Shark on a defence site.

They all offer discounts for the first 6 months or so. Just churn providers constantly. I do it every time the discount runs out. There’s no contract.

@OMGTheMess Bit of a catch 22. Knockdown/rebuilds don’t qualify for negative gearing. Major cities are mostly landlocked. In Brisbane, land supply near the CBD is almost non-existent. I’d still rather buy in an area that is more likely to appreciate in value and forfeit tax benefits.

@OMGTheMess Could also argue that people chasing new builds will put stress on an already under stress construction industry, raising prices of materials and labour. Existing builds, established suburb, larger land size wins over time IMO.
