I am now (also) on @bluesky (https://t.co/ZqQQQZspPL). In hopes that the scientific community will again meet under one roof. Too many in science have left X, and for good reasons. Long live (reasonable) #contentmoderation and civil discourse. Death to the #bots. 👻 4X.
Finally!! Scientific evidence on the meaning of corporate bullshit. Share so we can collectively leverage cross-functional awareness, align our strategic narratives, and operationalize a paradigm-shifting roadmap for reducing BS across the value chain. https://t.co/LHEcVRYSNo
Take a look at our new https://t.co/vlp3RN9j02 channel on YouTube , where we post the ECCB seminars. Our inaugural lecture is already posted: a talk by Prof. Martin Head-Gordon

Could there be 👽 life in Venus’s clouds?
Up to six missions are planned to explore our hot neighbor.
In our latest #astrobiology paper, we ask: Could carbon-free heteropolymers be the backbone of life in sulfuric-acid–rich clouds? Check it out!

@skdh@damianoram Are you advocating for this, or do you only mean it as a prediction? If yes to the former: What about basic science, long term and curiosity driven research? There is no profit in astrobiology. Fat luck getting anywhere as a species if we skip out on the visionary.
@UllaJansen Good question. I wouldn’t say snowflakes are that random, as their hexagonal shape is largely a reflection of the crystal lattice of water ice. So maybe wind erosion!
The idea of a Boltzmann brain, a 🧠 spontaneously appearing someplace believing it is you granted the universe is large enough, is bogus. In contrast, here is evidence for the Boltzmann hut, a series of branches randomly assembling to form a hut. #Thermodynamics#chemtwitter
@UllaJansen In fairness this is most probably just a poorly made actual hut, not caused by random motion. But the point stands, if you wait long enough randomness might build some structures. But not brains. The latter requires causality through selection, evolution.
