"There is one YouTuber in Patna. I won't reveal his name. He refused to hand over his car and even abused me. When the matter went viral on social media, Toyota asked him to provide the vehicle for testing.

🚨 Toyota responds to the viral Innova Hycross E20 controversy!

After the owner blamed E20 petrol for repeated breakdowns and fuel system issues, Toyota has now issued an official statement.

According to Toyota:

✅ Innova Hycross is fully E20-compatible
✅ The issue was caused by contaminated (non-standard) fuel, not E20 petrol
✅ No damage was found to the vehicle or fuel system
✅ The fuel tank and lines were cleaned, refilled with standard E20 fuel, and the vehicle was returned to the customer.

The company has advised customers to refuel only at authorised and reputed fuel stations to reduce the risk of fuel contamination.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, he says, "Somebody is saying that fuel mileage is going to drop. It is now well established that ethanol is even used in racing cars. Acceleration improves. What is that called? Knocking? Knocking also improves. Mileage? Yes, it may drop a little. But it may drop slightly due to various factors... Secondly, after consulting all stakeholders, including SIAM and ARAI, we have reached this stage. Then someone says, 'Your insurance will no longer cover this'. Insurance companies have already clarified that there is no such issue. But who benefits from spreading this false narrative? I am not going to make any accusations, but one thing should be very clear. There is enough space in India's growing consumer market for all technologies to coexist. There is room for electric vehicles, biofuel blended vehicles, and we are currently only at 20 per cent ethanol blending. If we move from 20 per cent to 25 per cent, it will happen only after all the necessary tests have been completed. There is also enough space for hybrid vehicles and CNG vehicles..."

Roshan Ramesh Suvarna’s family claimed that he was intoxicated during the incident, returned home crying and later confessed before leaving for Panvel.

👉Suvarna, an HSC dropout, lives with his parents and sister in Mira Road East. He is unmarried and undertakes barcode-related freelance work, while his father runs a Xerox shop.

👉His brother, Prashant Suvarna, 35, said Roshan drank occasionally but was under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday.

👉He claimed Roshan usually travelled by AC local trains but boarded a first-class fast local after failing to book a cab because of the rain.
