Experimental evaluation across multiple datasets and against multiple baselines show that face completions from 3DFaceFill are significantly better, both qualitatively and quantitatively, under large variations in pose, illumination, shape and appearance.

3DFaceFill addresses the "chicken-and-egg" problem of simultaneously inferring both the photometric and geometric factors, and completion of the face from a masked image using a simple iterative refinement process at inference.
