Proposal to Rename Kolkata Metro Stations:

Senior leader Tathagata Roy (@tathagata2) objects to naming Metro stations after individuals (such as Mahanayak Uttam Kumar, Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, and Jyotirindra Nandi) as well as misleading geographic labels like Beliaghata and Netaji Bhavan.
He plans to submit a proposal to the government naming committee advocating stations be named strictly after their actual, accurate localities to avoid passenger confusion.

I personally support this move to be honest. These kind of names creates confusions in both blue line & especially orange line.
