[The DeshBhakt 🇮🇳 Akash Banerjee @TheDeshBhakt]

Modi cares about the Indian diaspora - more than official engagements - Modi's international visits need to have the diaspora sing & dance for him, breathlessly chant his name. It gives him a strange sense of validation of having arrived at the global stage.
However things are not what they used to be and the Govt is not happy about it - the move to push Imran Khan out of india shows that ... Modi message to the global Indian... stay in lane / chant my name - else lose your OCI perks.
The 'most popular PM in the world' cannot even take a few from the diaspora - writing / tweeting / protesting against him.
What's most tragic - as Devyani Kacker writes beautifully - is Khan's ONLY crime was to take part in a peaceful protest - how could that lead to exclusion! For a county born out of protests, joining a protest should be seen as a rite of passage.
But then that was Babu's Bharat. In Godse's India - even a peaceful protest would merit you a Kaalapani.
All the more reason that Deshbhakt diaspora should read / know / speak about what is going on in India.

Heard Modi’s speech at the ‘NDTV world summit’. The man has never ever talked like the Prime Minister of India. Listening to him speak makes your ears bleed. Curse the day when a gutter level person like him took charge of this country and sending it downhill ever since.

Buddha can’t handle criticism but always comes and utter such nonsense that you can’t control your anger. It’s like he is testing the collecting conscience of India’s youth that no matter how much you hate him he will keep doing exactly the same thing and you can do nothing about it.

Thank you 🙏 Raj Thackeray Ji for having the courage to post this on your X handle.

As a tax payer I have not felt so insulted today with PM speech.

We pay 30% from our income. I can show you my payslips. Aap samay dijiye.

I don't want any favour from you. I am ready to pay tax at 2014 rates. Ask FM to bring ancient tax regime.
