The Madras High Court's judgment has reaffirmed a fundamental constitutional principle that reservation is meant for socially and educationally backward communities, not merely on the basis of religious conversion.

I had raised this very issue during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, highlighting how the blanket inclusion of Muslims in the OBC list in certain states is adversely affecting genuinely backward OBC communities. Reservations are a constitutional tool for social justice and cannot become a means of political appeasement.

The Hon'ble Court has rightly observed that a person who converts to Islam cannot automatically claim the status of a Backward Class Muslim. This judgment strengthens the constitutional framework governing reservations and reinforces that benefits must reach those who are genuinely entitled to them.

The BJP has consistently maintained that the rights of genuine OBC communities must be protected. Every reservation seat wrongly diverted deprives a deserving OBC youth of education, employment, and opportunity.

I reiterate my demand that the Central and State Governments must ensure that the OBC reservation framework is implemented strictly in accordance with the Constitution and judicial principles, so that the true spirit of social justice is preserved for the communities it was created to uplift.

Revanth Reddy's frustration is understandable, but governance cannot be judged by loud claims and press conference challenges.

The NDA government under Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji has a clear constitutional majority in Parliament and was elected by the people of India for a third consecutive term. In a democracy, legitimacy comes from the mandate of the people, not from political speeches.

Before demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, Revanth Reddy should explain the unfulfilled promises made to the people of Telangana, including loan waivers, employment commitments, and the guarantees on which Congress sought votes.

The BJP does not need lessons on morality from a Congress party that has repeatedly relied on defections and political opportunism. Governance is measured by performance, not by press conference challenges.

The people of India have renewed their trust in Narendra Modi Ji three times. The people of Telangana are still waiting for Congress to fulfil its first set of promises.

If PM @narendramodi Ji's 12 years were only about "event management," why did the people of India elect him three consecutive times?

You speak of history, but let's talk about facts.

Pandit Nehru became Prime Minister before India conducted its first General Election in 1951-52. PM Modi's tenure, on the other hand, is entirely based on democratic mandates received directly from the people of India in 2014, 2019, and 2024. That is why PM Modi is rightly recognized as India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister.

You invoke Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's name today, but it was the Congress Party that fielded candidates against Babasaheb twice and played a role in his electoral defeats. You invoke Sardar Patel today, yet history records that he enjoyed overwhelming support within the Congress organization before Independence.

As for the last 12 years:

✅ Article 370 was abrogated
✅ Ram Mandir became a reality
✅ India became the world's 5th largest economy
✅ UPI transformed digital payments globally
✅ Crores of poor families received homes, toilets, gas connections, healthcare, and free ration
✅ India's global standing has reached new heights

The people of India are not electing Narendra Modi Ji because of manufactured narratives. They are electing him because of visible results.

In a democracy, the ultimate verdict belongs to the people, and they have delivered that verdict in favour of Narendra Modi Ji three times in a row.

If defections are a threat to democracy, then Congress must first explain what is happening in Telangana. Several MLAs and leaders elected on other party symbols have joined or aligned themselves with the Congress government after the elections, and Congress has proudly celebrated these defections as proof of its popularity and strength.

The question is simple: Is defection wrong only when it benefits your political opponent?

When leaders join Congress, it is portrayed as public faith in the government. But when another party gains support or when a two-thirds split takes place as per constitutional provisions, the same Congress cries "murder of democracy."

This double standard exposes the hypocrisy. Democracy cannot have one definition for Congress and another for everyone else.
