@lipavertz I agree but sometimes having an elite super sub like Undav is the difference maker in these fine margin single knockout tourneys. Think Schurrle and Gotze 2014. Not only that but without Sane we lack a lot of pace & transitional threat which could be very useful against big sides

Truth is, the only thing Hincapie has over Calafiori is fitness. No hate to the former, he’s earned so much respect especially in the UCL final.

We’ve seen him get ran ragged by Semenyo, now Diomande (PL soon), and on a few other occasions that people sweep under the rug. Over 90 minutes continously.

Calafiori’s defensive ‘lapses’ happen in more one-off transitional open space scenarios - you’re likely to concede these regardless of who’s playing there.

They happen less & despite 🇪🇨 being painted as a warrior, 🇮🇹 can often be better defensively over a full 90 minutes.

The gap on the ball, in possession is ASTRONOMICAL. Nobody needs convincing there.

Hincapie should be at the club purely to ensure Calafiori stays fit forever. Sub on at 60-70, play the lesser games, & preserve a T5 player at the club.
