मात्र 12 घंटों के अंदर ही Airtel और Jio, दोनों ने Starlink के साथ साझेदारी की घोषणा कर दी, जबकि अब तक वे इसके भारत में आने को लेकर लगातार आपत्तियाँ जताते आ रहे थे।

यह पूरी तरह से स्पष्ट है कि इन साझेदारियों को खुद प्रधानमंत्री ने ही राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप के साथ सद्भावना खरीदने के लिए स्टारलिंक के मालिक एलन मस्क के जरिए सुगम बनाया है।

लेकिन कई अहम सवाल अभी भी बने हुए हैं। शायद सबसे महत्वपूर्ण सवाल राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़ा है। जब राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़ा कोई मामला होगा , तब कनेक्टिविटी को चालू या बंद करने की शक्ति किसके पास होगी? स्टारलिंक के पास या इसके भारतीय साझेदारों के पास? क्या अन्य सैटेलाइट-आधारित कनेक्टिविटी प्रदाताओं को भी अनुमति दी जाएगी और यदि हाँ, तो किस आधार पर?

और, निश्चित रूप से, एक बड़ा सवाल टेस्ला के भारत में निर्माण को लेकर भी है। क्या अब, जब स्टारलिंक को भारत में प्रवेश मिल गया है, टेस्ला के निर्माण को लेकर कोई प्रतिबद्धता जताई गई है?

Under the new draft Regulations of the UGC, the vice-chancellor will become a viceroy of the central government

By taking the absolute power to appoint vice-chancellors without any participation by the state government, the central government has virtually 'nationalised' the universities

The state government has no say in the selection and appointment of universities that were (1) established by the state government for (2) the benefit of the residents of the state and are (3) funded by the state government. This is bizarre and unacceptable

The draft Regulations are a blow to federalism and states' rights

Teachers and students must protest against the draft Regulations

The Opposition has to mobilise its resources, politically and legally, against the draft Regulations
