Taneesha’s Gold in Mixed Doubles and Bronze in Women’s Doubles, along with Sayali’s remarkable contribution to the Women’s Doubles Bronze, is a testament to their extraordinary talent, discipline and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Their achievement is not just a medal on the podium, it is a reflection of the spirit of young India that dares to dream, works with determination and rises to the global stage.

NLC Bharat's International Capacity Enhancement Program (ICEP) was conceived with the belief that Bharat's legislators must have opportunities to engage with the world's leading institutions, exchange ideas with global policymakers and bring back best practices that can strengthen governance and public service.

Watching this vision take shape in Chicago, with a distinguished Bharatiya delegation participating in the NCSL Legislative Summit 2026 and engaging with renowned academic and policy institutions, is deeply fulfilling. The idea was never merely to organize international visits, it was to create a movement that empowers Bharatiya legislators with global exposure, comparative insights and meaningful engagement with the world's finest democratic institutions. Seeing legislators from across Bharat from diverse states, regions and political ideologies coming together on a global platform to learn, exchange ideas and collectively strengthen democratic governance is both humbling and inspiring.

Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Padma Shri Dr. D. Y. Patil Ji. His demise is an irreparable loss to Maharashtra's education fraternity and to everyone whose lives were touched by his vision and leadership.

Fondly known to all as 'Dada', Dr. D. Y. Patil Ji belonged to the pioneering generation of educationists who transformed the landscape of higher education in Maharashtra. Alongside visionary leaders like Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Dr. Kamalkishor Kadam, Late Dr. Patangrao Kadam, and others, he played a defining role in shaping the era of private professional education, making quality engineering and medical education accessible to generations of students. His contribution stands as a milestone in the educational development of the state.

Beyond academics, our families have shared a bond of warmth, mutual respect, and friendship spanning several decades. Dr. D. Y. Patil Ji and my father Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad shared a common dream of nation-building through education, inspiring countless institutions and millions of young minds with their unwavering commitment and vision.

On behalf of the MIT family, I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family, his colleagues, students, and all those mourning this profound loss.

It is a responsibility that finds its truest expression in the very individuals who have inspired generations of young civil servants before them. For their felicitation was never merely a celebration of the ranks they have secured. It was, in equal measure, an acknowledgement of the trust the nation now places in them; to uphold constitutional values, strengthen democratic institutions, and ensure that the benefits of governance reach every citizen.

"वारी" ही केवळ परंपरा नाही... ती महाराष्ट्राच्या आत्म्याशी जोडणारी भक्तीची अखंड वाटचाल आहे.

लहानपणापासून आमच्या कुटुंबात वारीचे संस्कार अनुभवत आलो आहे. माऊलींच्या नामस्मरणात, टाळ-मृदंगाच्या निनादात, अभंगांच्या सुरांत आणि लाखो वारकऱ्यांच्या निःस्वार्थ भक्तीत एक अद्भुत ऊर्जा आणि आत्मिक समाधान अनुभवायला मिळते.

यंदा पुण्यात श्री ज्ञानेश्वर माऊलींच्या पालखीचे आणि पादुकांचे दर्शन घेण्याचे भाग्य लाभले. वारकऱ्यांसोबत काही क्षण चालण्याचा, त्यांच्या भक्तिरसात स्वतःला विसर्जित करण्याचा आणि "ज्ञानोबा-तुकाराम"च्या जयघोषात सहभागी होण्याचा हा अनुभव शब्दांच्या पलीकडचा आहे.

संत ज्ञानेश्वर माऊलींनी ज्ञानेश्वरी आणि अमृतानुभवातून मानवतेला समता, करुणा, ज्ञान आणि अध्यात्माचा मार्ग दिला. त्यांची शिकवण आजही प्रत्येक पिढीला आपल्या संस्कृतीशी, मूल्यांशी आणि माणुसकीशी जोडणारी प्रेरणाशक्ती आहे.

MIT वर्ल्ड पीस युनिव्हर्सिटीमध्ये आम्हीही याच विचाराला पुढे नेत आहोत. आमचा विश्वास आहे की, "विज्ञान आणि अध्यात्माचा संगमच मानवजातीला शांती प्रदान करू शकतो." आधुनिक शिक्षणासोबत भारतीय संस्कृती, अध्यात्म आणि मूल्यांचा वारसा पुढील पिढीपर्यंत पोहोचवणे ही आपली सामूहिक जबाबदारी आहे.

During his visit, we had the opportunity to present MIT-WPU's vision of value-based and transformative education, including our unique Life Transformation Centre (LTC), Boribel, which is dedicated to holistic student development.

Shri Kavinder Gupta Ji appreciated the concept, describing it as a unique initiative in India's higher education ecosystem, and expressed his interest in enabling students from Himachal Pradesh to benefit from this transformative learning experience. We also shared the pioneering work of the MIT School of Government in developing ethical and visionary public leadership.

महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या म.ए.सो. मुलांचे विद्यालय (पेरुगेट भावे स्कूल) या आपल्या मातृसंस्थेशी असलेले ऋणानुबंध जपत, गुरुवर्य डॉ. प्र.ल. गावडे सभागृहाच्या नूतनीकरणासाठी आर्थिक योगदान देण्याचा योग लाभला, ही माझ्यासाठी अत्यंत समाधानाची बाब आहे. हा छोटासा प्रयत्न त्या ऋणाची परतफेड नसून, त्या अखंड नात्याचा आणि जिव्हाळ्याचा एक नम्र आविष्कार आहे.
