Phew, building this for fun
🚀 Excited to unveil LoveZap Invites 💌: Our labor of love for your special days. Perfect for weddings & anniversaries, they're more than just invites
@ku1deep@vinodchendhil Marketplaces aren't created equal. Amazon is like Steam: where indie brands actually have a shot at surviving on merit. Quick commerce is like EA Sports: a heavily monetized, pay-to-win slot machine.
Do note, I used slot machine with pay to win
@vinodchendhil Said it before, saying it again. In gaming terms: Small brands are the Free-to-Play users. Big FMCGs are the Whales. Qcom just needs you to populate the game to satisfy those whales. In actual games, F2P players at least get some entertainment. Here? Only pure rage.
Turning off your worst ads might be exactly what kills your best one
A real situation we see constantly: 4 ads in an ad set, and ads manager shows one with 30 purchases while the other three have 6-7 purchases each. The obvious move seems to be turning off the three weak ones
Here is the mechanic that makes this wrong: Meta now builds sequences of ads. People see ad 1, then ad 2, then convert on ad 4, and the conversion gets attributed to the last ad they engaged with. So the weak ad is feeding the ones collecting the credit
Turn it off, and the "winners" usually drop with them, because the sequence producing those purchases does not exist anymore
There is no single winning creative post Andromeda; there is a winning stack
Judge the ad set as a group, and kill an ad only when it spent 3-5x your target CPA with ROAS 30% below target (if Ad Set or Campaign ROAS is also below target), or spent basically nothing in 14 to 30 days (if ads limit issue kicks in)
Whenever Autos in Mumbai go on strike the roads are empty, traffic goes down, and so does driver anxiety. Maybe it is time to ban autos entirely. Get shuttle buses for busy routes. Destroy auto mafia once and for all.
@Ajain112@pratiknagariya The flaw in extreme hypotheticals is they pit normal life against absurd worst-case scenarios (like poisoning kids @ parties). This warps the baseline. If you try to find a "safe median" based on that extreme, the only logical outcome is banning parties entirely.
How you manage the cart count on server for cold traffic, will decide if your site can handle 20 or 2000 page visits a minute.
You cann cache the page but not the cart.
@TVMohandasPai The irony of our society: the older generation will complain day and night about bureaucratic "babus," yet they behave exactly like them.
Their entire philosophy? Take a complex problem and engineer an even more complex solution. While maintaining 0 contribution to actual work.
1 in 4 COD orders in India get returned undelivered. Because the customer had freaking call screening on and never picked up.
If that's you, do the brand, the delivery guy and yourself a favour and stop ordering online. You might look cool in your busy schedule but from our POV you are being lazy. The delivery partner calls, gets blocked by your own phone, and marks you "consignee not available." You don't get to call back. He just moves on and the order boomerangs back at our cost, not yours.
Every one of these failed deliveries burns real petrol, packaging material, and efforts by the delivery person. And this "small habit" is an actual environmental and economic mess, and it's entirely avoidable.
Until then congratulations, you've achieved maximum inconvenience for zero commitment.
@GabbbarSingh@Schandillia Spread anarcy? Abey daaru peeke aaya principle. Anarcy ka matlab malum hai Tereko? The ones responsible to control are already spreading it you buffone. The unnamed parties are literally fixing it.
@dhwaninanavati In my case, it was a combination of IBS ( inflicted thru incorrect prescription of antibiotics for eternity), tonsils and bad air quality.
Had my tonsils removed 14 yrs back, started using N95 mask, and dinner alteast 3 hours before bedtime. Life has been much better
@Benarasiyaa Which was actually true, until it caved in. Travelled on it with friends and family. Loved it. First reaction was, let’s hope it withstands the rains . And here we are.
@brawling_virago@Ajain112 As a brand owner, it took me 3 months and an increasing bottom line to realise this.
Yes, I look just exactly like my competitor. Sorry ( also wala ) working on fixing that now
Absolutely no one sees it as dirty. For the longest time, non vegetarians accomodated vegetarians, because they considered it to be dirty.
Now we have come to a point, Jahan vegetarians ab chaati pe baith ke naach rahe hain.
They should never have been accomodated
India is a de facto vegetarian country. Most Indians including non vegetarians see Meat as something dirty, something to be hidden in opaque bags. Filthy Guthka and street urination has more approval in India than meat.
Ma's phone was giving her troouble.
So I scanned Amazon to look for a new phone.
Showed it to her (big mistake).
She checked the price, quietly gave me my phone back, and said "theek chal raha hai - koi problem nahi hai mere phone mein" (my phone is working perfectly fine)
An entire generation trained itself to want less, so that we could have more.
Now that we can give them everything, they have forgotten how to want :((
Our life's comfort has come at a huge cost.
Our parents paid for it in advance.
