It is difficult to put into words the gratitude I feel for Shri @dpradhanbjp ji.
As Union Education Minister, he worked tirelessly to restore the civilisational spirit of Bharat and to decolonise our education system. His unwavering commitment to implementing the National Education Policy, despite the political challenges it entailed, will be remembered as one of his finest contributions to nation-building.
On a personal note, I have always been touched by his genuine affection for Assam. Whenever Assam needed his support, he stood with us. His encouragement, guidance and goodwill have always meant a great deal to me.
Just last week, we had the privilege of inaugurating the Indian Institute of Management, Guwahati. That proud moment was possible because of his vision and his deep commitment to taking quality higher education to every part of the country. The people of Assam will always remain grateful for that.
As he demits office, I thank him from the bottom of my heart for his dedication, his humility and his selfless service to Bharat Mata. I wish him good health, happiness and strength in the years ahead. I am certain that wherever he serves, he will continue to work with the same sincerity and commitment for our nation.
Thank you, Pradhan ji. Assam will always remember your affection and your contribution.
@abhinaymaths Sab log pehle saare kam chor ke sir ko bajao sorry sir ke liye taali bajao nahi to ye saare sabut dhundke post karne lagenge ki maine kaha tha stifa hoga hi hoga
I remember one of my first tweets against Reservations. It went viral & got around 500+ comments.
Around 90% were people tagging Delhi Police, demanding my arrest under SC/ST Act.
Today, the same issue is being discussed in the mainstream media. We've come a long way.
NEET student Harsh Dubey who triggered a viral conversation on RESERVATION on my show last night, was at Jantar Mantar today.
Had a more detailed chat with him at the protest site. Watch here:
So heartening to see NEET topper quoting from that midnight video where PM Modi assured of strict action
This topper says he has full confidence in Modi ji..like i keep saying,bona-fide students stand with Modi Govt
Abusive trolls stand with Rahul Gandhi & Kejriwal&that's that
@yadavakhilesh Akhilesh ho chuke hai lachar,
Yogi kar rahe hai inke upar atyachar,
Chunav jeetne ke liye shuru bhi kar diya yogi ne prachar,
Par cycle pe baithke tappu abhi tak kar rahe kewal vichar,
Lagta hai kar rahe hai pappu ka intejaar
My appeal to all General category students participating in CJP & other protests across India:
Demand reform of the Reservation policy.
60-70% Reservation is the biggest issue impacting hardworking & meritorious students.
Raise the issue in your CJP groups. Ask the leaders. Ask the politicians coming to these protests in the name of "fair education." Make videos. Post on social media.
This is the best opportunity to bring the biggest issue in India's education system into the mainstream.
If these protests are truly about students and educational reform, this issue cannot be ignored.
The students are at top priority, educationally n security-wise, so they need not worry and have their parents worried for them. The Honorable Prime Minister has tweeted, and I am sure that he will take strict action against all those people who are responsible for this leak. So students, plz go back to your parents n homes.
Sonam, it's done, bro. Don't extend this. Keep the spirit for another day if there be a need, which I doubt, n eat something. If u want, will send u food from home.
Yogendra Yadav: “Future of democracy in India will be settled on the streets and not in parliament or through elections. We saw a glimpse of it on July 20.”
On July 20, thousands settled on the streets, indulged in arson, pelted stones, attacked cops, tried to lynch journalists.
