A few days ago, we released a new video to showcase some of our real-life deployments across our members' sites: @UKAEAofficial, @NDAgovuk, @SellafieldLtd, @OfficialUoM & @AWE_plc.
To accompany that video, we also released a short deployment brochure:

We often talk about our mission to deploy robotics and AI to solve shared challenges in nuclear decommissioning and fusion engineering. But what does that mean in practice?
In this video, we bring some of our deployments to life.
Tim Bestwick, Chief Executive Officer of the @UKAEAofficial, joins Dr Kirsty Hewitson, Director of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Collaboration (@raicouk ), at the RAICo1 facility in Whitehaven, West Cumbria, for the annual RAICo Academic Showcase.
The UK just released its 2026 fusion strategy.
It's an important milestone for the future of clean energy and UK organisations working in the field of fusion engineering.

Mr Alexander Scott, the Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (@LLCumbria), recently visited our RAICo1 site.
Remarking on the visit, the Lord-Lieutenant said: "Cumbria's long heritage of innovation in R&D and technology lives on today in organisations like RAICo."
It’s the @NSA_Nuclear 2026 UK Nuclear Skills Awards tonight.
@UKAEAofficial's Thomas Dominguez-Walker, who works on many RAICo projects, is a finalist in the Advanced Apprentice of the Year category.
We wish him the best of luck!

This is a great video podcast from iSH for #InternationalWomensDay.
It includes many inspiring women, one of whom is our director, Dr Kirsty Hewitson.

One of RAICo’s members, @SellafieldLtd, has just released its Tech Radar report.
It's a fascinating look at #robotics innovations emerging from across industries that could benefit nuclear decommissioning:

The RAICo Fellows – early career researchers who receive RAICo funding – plus staff and students from @OfficialUoM, visited @UKAEAofficial's Culham site last Tuesday, where they had a chance to explore sites where their technologies might be used.
On Feb 20th, two senior staff from @OfficialUoM visited RAICo1.
The visit allowed them to see for themselves how we're accelerating the deployment of #robotics and #AI in nuclear decommissioning & fusion engineering - and the role that UoM is playing in that.
.@OfficialUoM is hiring a new part-time Project Administrator to be based at RAICo1, on a fixed contract until May 2029. Applications close on March 4th.
